hmm.the holiday's turning out to be a little less boring than i anticipated.but i haven't been posting mostly because i've been spending most of my waking hours playing pokemon ruby till i go half blind.it's bad for the peekers i know.but instant gratification sure is fricking worth it.

today was...unusual.i was supposed to go with my mum and sis to drop off my dad's car at commonwealth for polishing and my mum wanted us to walk back to river valley.commonwealth to the apartment's a train ride from commonwealth to newton plus a fifteen minute bus ride and a ten minute walk.and she wanted us to walk the whole way!!!talk about cruel and unusual punishment.and then and then.the most absurd thing happened.we stopped at the market to buy flowers and my sis SLAMMED.THE.CAR.DOOR.ON.HER.THUMB.woah.betcha didn't see that coming.so all plans for the day were smashed quite literally and we spent the morning at gleneagles A&E looking at her purple thumb.and i walked back from the hospital myself.so i'm the only one who got exercise today.

my sister is truly amazing.how do you do this kinda things right on cue when you need it?so.no polishing and no torturous walk :) and it's no biggie.there wasn't a fracture.i think my mum needed the excitement anyway.she's visited A&E too few times during her tenure as mother of 2 for 16 years.we let her off too easy.

so now i'm home listening to itunes and preparing to watch my freshly rented best of joey,chandler and ross.

It's just past midnight and i'm not asleep :) i'm trying to make the most of my holiday.and the weekend.my mother has this disgusting habit of waking me up at 7.30 on weekdays.she absolutely refuses to let me sleep in and it pisses me off cos it's the freaking holidays.she's just jealous that i get holidays and she doesnt.but she lets me sleep in on sundays so i shall sleep and wake as late as possible :D

but i am so tired... ;O

I got a new fish today!!! :D took some pictures but the lighting was really shitty so i'll post better ones when i can arrange a better setting.it's another fighting fish but this one's completetly red.jack was blue with a reddish streak.and its fins are really really pretty :) very big and the ends are sort of curled/hooked.nice :) its not very active though.jack was such a swimmer.i was hoping i'd get a jumper this time but looks like i got a floater.
and its name is roger WHAT-A-FISH :D roger whatafish.thought it'd only be fair if it got a second name since jack was jack ennis.and well.he's a fish.

oh well.jack's dead.he was looking really bad.his body was completely pale and the tips of his fins were black and torn.i think his blood stopped circulating or something.he really was a far cry from what he was when he was healthy.vibrant colours and all.and building a new bubble nest within half an hour of my changing his water.and he never even got the chance to make little jacks and jackies.oh well.but life goes on.i'm getting another fish.i'm calling it roger :) as in hargreaves.not federer.

today was slightly better than yesterday.probably because there were better programmes on tv.and i woke up 15 minutes later.and i stayed up late last night so i was feeling kinda sluggish today.god the things i do to save myself from that suffocating boredom.i guess the only thing i appreciate about the holidays is that i get to take long walks in the afternoon with ping an.it's very invigorating.especially when we walk by immense mansions and bungalows.makes me feel like some portly old english gent taking a stroll.the people around here really are filthy rich.their houses are HUGE and they've got pools and fountains and such loooooong driveways.and when you look in there's always always at least 2 cars,one of which is either a BMW or a merc.and i spotted one house with 2 ferraris!ah.to be the creme de la creme of a capitalistic society.dear me,i'm sounding so materialistic.but then again it's hard not to when you think of stuff like university fees and housing loans and dependants.such are my woes and ornerous burdens.

oh yeah.i watched the notebook last night.oh my god.i finally did it.the guilty pleasure and dirty little secret of a million boyfriends.so.so.so.it's...it's...yeah ok it's a good movie.it is a very good love story.romantic.timeless.moving.heartbreaking.but this time it was the girl who was a jerk.in my opinion at least.so it's typical,and yet different,but well protrayed.so it's a classic.
i think what got those boyfriends was ryan's brooding,selfless,eternal sacrifice for rachel.like that's one cool dude man.builds houses and rows boats while he waits for his girl.makes them feel macho.and heroic.finally the man's commitment gets acknowledged.no more cheating boyfriend and crying,virginal herioine!and after all those years of carrying shopping bags from isetan to plaza sing *sob*sob*.you show them brother!
and of course the girls fell for the same thing too.except the only reason they like it is cause they think,as my sister puts it,ryan is H-O-T.
i don't think there's ever been a movie that got to both sexes like that so...thumbs up.

i think ryan gosling's a very talented actor.i must go watch lars and the real girl.go rent the believer.so ok fine he was good in the notebook.and i've decided to take a second look at rachel mcadams.not as...bimboish as i thought she was.

i've dedicated half my post to a review of the notebook...that movie must have had some subliminal effect on my subconsciousness.

ok.i'm bored.dammit.

and after just ONE DAY!at least i had something on my mind for the last three weeks.some shred of responsibility or work to do.and now there's NOTHING so excuse my language because i'm SO FUCKING BORED I CAN BLOW MY BRAINS OUT.

i can see why an idle mind is the devil's workshop.this boredom just eats away at you till there's nothing left of your consciousness but uncontrollable wrath at your situation.it's like a caged lion has been forced to a corner of its cage and it's getting angrier and angrier till it explodes and goes on a man-eating rampage.

if my mind gets any more idle it'll have it's own multi-platinum record.ok,not funny.

ARGHHHHHHHH.

I need a new kind of release.

Oh My God.I finally understand the meaning of 'Don't know what to do.'I was dead tired after coming back from lunch with my mum and sis and I was lying on the bed thinking "I'm really tired.I should sleep.But I really want to read my new book.But I'm sooooo tired...But my new book's so interesting.Maybe I'll see what's on TV.But my eyes are drooping...But I want to read my book.....TV...book...sleep"

Then it struck me that it'll be like that every day for the next 2 months.

and I'm up now at 12.15am using the comp with permission from my mum.
