and starting from next year my parents are putting me on an allowance.i dont do allowances.now all i have to do is ask my parents for cash whenever i need it.but next year they're putting me on a budget every month.i know i sound very spoilt.but it's not like im a big spender or anything.i dont go shopping at orchard road every fortnight.it's just that sometimes i see a book i really like and now if i want it i'll have to skip lunch for a few days or something.ok i should stop.now i really sound spoilt.buti just dont do allowances.then there's this problem of your money and my money.i always hear people saying 'my mum borrowed money from me' or 'i need to pay my dad back' and stuff like that.wth.they're your FAMILY.what kind of paying back are you talking about.but anyway,that's the way it's gonna be around here from now on.im so not doing this allowance thing.im gonna find a way to make my own money.


havent been blogging cos ive been spending whole days at the hospital.my grandmother's cancer is getting worse so we cant do anything but visit her every day and wait for her to die.
anyway.went to watch death note with chen,miao yixiao and leeqi yesterday.it's fantastic.go watch it.and go buy the vcd.i watched the first death note movie only because i had nothing to do while my parents were watching the departed.and it made a believer out of me.if i didnt watch it i would have just dismissed it as some jap film with lousy cgi characters and skipped the sequel which ROCKS.yup.so go watch it.give it a chance :)
and i went to watch death note again today with my sis cos she wanted to watch it with me.SHE IS RIDICULOUS.she said her heart nearly shattered when misa kissed light -________-||| im never gonna ask her what she thinks of movies again.
the holidays are ending.i should probably be sad.or happy.i dont know.it's getting a little stale.today i did almost exactly the same things as i did yesterday.i watched death note 2 at cine in theatre 4,went to the hong kong cafe to drink milk tea,stopped at the popular at orchard mrt to pick up school books,took the mrt to outram and took the shuttle bus to sgh to see my grandmother.the coincidence is too spooky.or it just shows you how boring my life is.

Well anway,i dont really feel like seeing anybody right now.I'm quite happy being alone.


alot of people have been asking me about my new house,like when im going to be moving and all.well,we sold it.my mum didnt meet much luck trying to renovate the house.kept meeintg crackpot builders and all so we decided to sell it.we got a good price for it and we sold it 2 days after we put an ad in the papers.but we have to buy a new house again anyway because our estate's en bloc sell went through and we'll be homeless in 7 months.so now we're house hunting again.id rather we move into a larger but not too expensive apartment and have my parents use the rest of the money to send me away to study but my mum thinks landed property is a pretty good investment.and looking at the state of my room,she isnt too confident about me going away alone to a foreign country.damn.you know sometimes you just want to go away to a new place where nobody knows you and everything is new.


i didnt send out christmas cards this year.partly because i wasnt in the mood, and partly because by the time i realised christmas was approaching it was the 23rd.but i did receive cards from zeenatan and irene.it's nice receiving cards from old friends.
but seeing that i dont believe in christianity,i shouldnt be celebrating christmas in the first place which is fine by me.i dont see any meaning in christmas anymore.


im not really in a christmassy mood this year.in fact i didnt even notice how close it is to christmas.im not in a festive mood at all.i gues it's because if not for my cousins my family wouldnt really celebrate christmas at all and now one half of my favourite cousins is gone i cant get myself to feel all perky about christmas.it seems really pointless now that ive outgrown the presents,holidays are more about getting together with my family.im gonna miss that.been taking it for granted for 15 years.

i woke up at 5.45am this morning cos it was cold and i couldnt get back to sleep after that.and there isnt anything to do at 5.45 around here.the papers hadnt even been delivered yet.so i just lay in bed humming a semi-sad russell watson song in my head when it suddenly felt like my heart plummeted into the vast hollowness of my stomach and sank without a trace.this is the first time ive ever experienced the effect of a thought before even realising that im thinking that thought probably because my body was awake but my mind was still half asleep.ok this is all very confusing.anyway,i later discovered that i was thinking about last year's choral night and the realisation hit me that im not in 203 anymore.i know it's very dumb because i havent been in 203 for a year but sometimes you think you know it but realising the actuality of the situation only comes much,much later.so my mind started to go wild but i managed to come up with a logical conclusion through the countless voices speaking in my head at once.
this past year my subconcious never really accepted that im in class 308 now.everyday it just said told itself that the body is currently hanging around with this bunch of new people and though it misses 203 alot it'll be alright because we'll be getting back together soon.gosh im so good at self denial.and of course today turned out to be such a gloomy day so it doesnt help with my rather melancholic emotions.

i watched the holiday today.i must say for a film where i went into the theatre not knowing what to expect it's great.i love the dialogue and jude and kate's british accent.it's so lovely and musical.jack black is hilarious as usual and of course jude law is smoking hot.it's just such a funny,entertaining movie i might even consider buying the vcd.though it is a little long.about 135 minutes i think.but it's still watch it.it's really good entertainment.

I'm BACK.finally.the holiday was only 6 days long but it really felt like a long time.missed my bed alot.and my dog too.but he's currently ignoring me cos my mum's eating something that smells nice.traitor.
i see there have been some rather large reactions to my buying pink shirts.yeah i know it's a big shocker.but my wardrobe seriously needs revamping if i must say it myself.anyone's who's ever seen my cupboard laughed their ass off.there's one solid block of white shirts,one solid block of dark blue/black shirts and one solid block of red shirts.it looks like a freaking uniform.and those pink shrts aren't girly pink shirts with flowers and bunnies on them.to be honest,one of them came from the men's department but it's pretty decent looking.and the other is a long sleeved shirt for CNY next year.yeah that's it.so NO i didnt buy a hot pink tube top and spaghetti strap halter neck.i havent gone that crazy.


i think ive come to like vietnam.not in a i want to stay here way,but more in a it's a pretty nice place way.other than the traffic,it's a very friendly and welcoming country.but the traffic's really horrendous.it's like watching and playing live action frogger.
i seem to have bought a ton of clothes on this trip.i actually dont mind shopping now as long as they're not 6 hr sprees.otherwise i can quite stand a trip to the mall.and i bought 2 pink shirts.i think it's a great improvement.my sis is really proud of me.


ok.in vietnam now.i guess i shouldnt have been so judgemental before coming cos it's a really nice place.the people are fantastic.they're all so friendly and helpful and they dont get angry or anything.this place is better than thailand :) of course the weather's hot as ever and the streets and the air is terribly polluted but the people are really making the stay worthwhile.

yup.and i think my one hour of free internet use is nearly up as well.so i should stop cos it's really expensive if i go into OT.


we're travelling by business class and apparently if you are flying SIA business or first class you get access to this silver kris longue and that's where we're at now.it's fantastic.there's free internet access,free food,free drinks,free papers and magazines.everything.it's pretty neat.

we're not going to bali anymore.at least not this week i think.we went all the way to the airport then when we were at the check in counter the lady at the counter informed us that my mum's passport is less than 6 months away from expiration.so we couldnt go.I nearly died laughing.i thought it was really funny but apparently my brain works differently from the rest of family's and it didnt seem hilarious to them.my dad especially.he's highly susceptible to tempers and tantrums when things dont go his way.so he's in that "the world better not F with me" mood right now.and what better way to cool off than to watch 11 men chase a ball :) my mum and sis are pretty upset too cos they are the ones who wanted to go and planned the trip.so my whole family's pissed off and they're pretty much "if im not happy you cant be" people so i had to bite my tongue to stop myself from bursting into peals of laughter in the taxi and when we reached home.my family's just like that i guess.i dont see why we have to act like someone died just because something like this happened.life throws you curve balls all the time and if you fumbled the catch what are you gonna do?slap the guy next to you?assault your neighbour?bloody hell.my family needs to be more happy go lucky.if you cant laugh at times like this i dont see the point of living.the world would be too cruel to handle.however,unlike my sister who still had the nerve to whine and claim she had a right to,i know when to leave them alone.so i shall be wearing a look of mourning for the next 48 hours complete with shifty,downcast eyes and forced,monosyllabic conversations to mourn the loss of our holiday.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.


we have to be at the airport at 7.30 to catch a flight at 9.30.
but i couldnt sleep anyway.got up at 4.45 to irritate my dog.and now im the only one in my family who's ready.but i bet my parent's think im still asleep.
right.anyway,5 days isnt a long time.i'll be back before i know it to finish the ih proposal,lit term paper,math retest and holiday homework.crap.and i only have 1/2 a month left.


wah lao eh...i seriously dont feel like going away.i cant believe im flying off tomorrow.ive got so much work to do!so many books to read!and im being forced to spend 5 useless days away at a spa resort doing nothing.crap.


im going to bali next week from the 4th to the 8th.i know i should be happy and thankful.but i dont exactly wanna go.who wants to go to bali?!my poor dog will be so lonely :( and ive got the math retest to study for.well,im not actually studying,but sitting at home thinking about studying while watching ranma 1/2 makes me feel less guilty.
i should never have let my sister have watch battle royale.she cant stop gushing about tatsuya fujiwara.she's always missing the point of good movies.
